Arterys is a market leader in the space where artificial intelligence meets medical imaging and healthcare. Our platform is transforming medical imaging by moving away from local hospital medical imaging software to cloud AI and web-based medical imaging analytics. Arterys is a venture-backed startup with offices in San Francisco, Calgary, and Paris.

We are seeking a Leader to own and manage our life sciences business development initiatives. This business helps pharmaceutical, medical device, and medical AI developers, with commercialization activities (clinical trials, regulatory clearances, sales channel, etc.) and acts as a complement to our imaging platform and driving adoption of the Arterys ecosystem. This position will report to the CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Grow, manage, groom, and own AI CRO (Contract Research Organization) deal pipeline
• Report deal flow, progress vs. corporate objectives, risks, and emergent insights to c-suite
• Generate leads across academics and corporations in the life sciences field
• Partner with imaging CROs to collaborate on deals, including sub-contracting
• Create a marketing plan and execute to plan
• Evolve, extend, and maintain a canonical price-book of AI CRO services
• Coordinate with legal, finance, commercial, and product teams to negotiate phased contracts with milestones, maintain a playbook, own business line P&L, scope and size engineering effort required for studies, and maintain alignment between AI CRO business line and Arterys product strategy
• Work with clinical evidence generation and regulatory/compliance teams to manage phased engagements with AI CRO clients
• Maintain high-touch client relationships
• Upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients
• Collect client testimonials and feedback
• Embody thought leadership by publishing blog posts, speaking on industry panels, attending conferences, and communicating to the broader medical AI ecosystem about the value created for Arterys’s AI CRO clients
• Be responsible for all corporate business intelligence across AI CRO and Arterys products and platform
• Identify, contact and negotiate agreements with new potential platform AI producers

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years in CRO BD: lead gen, complex contract negotiation, relationship development
• Medical imaging experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or relevant business development experience
